About Us

You might have noticed that we named this page About Us rather than About Me. That’s because we want you to know right off, that this blog is not owned by a company but by us, Sylvester and Siew Eng, our 3 troopers Caspar, Calvin, Carey, our pet turtle Mr KuiKui and how can I forget Mr. Hamster Version 3 (though I suspect he’s about to be upgraded into Version 4). We will get around to posting some cool pixs of the team as soon as I can get the rest to agree that I am pretty cool as well. At this point, the vote is 3 versus 4. Well at least the last time I check with Mr Hamster and Mr KuiKui, they are still rooting for me.

Now although this site belongs to all the team members, I am the primary blogger here and also the most likely to be passionately verbal about my opinions, so most of this will be about me, attempting to influence you on my favorite subjects and stuff. Siew Eng, will probably jump in once in a while with her equally passionate rants and raves. She raves more than rants but when she does rant, you simply gotta to listen. Do subscribe to our RSS Feed not to miss it . I am the duly appointed spokesperson for Mr Hamster and Mr Kuikui while Caspar, Calvin and Carey, well, they simply do have a mind of their own!

To help you get acquainted with us, we thought we would just post these little itsy bitsy tibbits here.

Knowing Us

Q: Who are you?
A: We’re Sylvester and Siew Eng. I am Big Kahuna while Siew Eng is Big Kahuna’s Boss. Behind every successful man there’s always an intelligent, cheerful and loving woman. We’re 47 & 17 (you don’t really think my boss will approve me sharing her well kept secrets here do you?) . Caspar, Calvin and Carey are 16, 12 and 9. All three are are rather independent and outspoken. I suspect it will take a minor miracle to see them do such an uncool act of dropping a post here!  Mr Hamster is 13 months old. We have yet to locate Mr KuiKui’s birth parents so his age is kind of a mystery. But the three boys think he will live to a 100 .If either of them post here, that would be a real miracle! I would be delighted, the boys amazed, Mr Hamster frustrated and Siew Eng fainted on the floor…. and thousands would flock to this blog!

Q: How long have you been together?
A: Me and Siew Eng have been together for two decades and being married for 18 years. We had three blissful years alone before the rest of the team arrived to give a new meaning to the word bliss. As for the length of time the rest of the team have been with us, I would suggest using a bit of maths from the clues above! (See! reading blogs can be a great way to exercise the grey matter as well.) There have been challenging years, but we have no regrets.

Q: What do you do?
A: Sylvester have a full time job as a freelancer in copywriting, motivational trainer,personal coach (of the mind & spirit. I need coaching for the body as well) and helping companies and individuals develop unique marketing strategies using the web medium. My passion of the moment is developing blogs for individuals and companies.

Siew Eng is a career executive assistant and office manager with more than two decades of superb experience handling difficult bosses ,homo sapien tribes and offices. Her logistical acumen and people skills have often proved to be a lifesaver in many situations. For yours truly, they have proven to be exceptional in getting me out of trouble more than once!

Politics & Religion

Q: Do you have any political and religious affiliations or stance?
A: We are Buddhist by choice because we are attracted by its simplicity and tolerance. As for politics,the firm answer is No.The fact that we live in a little red dot called Singapore, we have learn to be tolerant of all views and to keep ours private. When 4.5 million people live in such a small dot like ours, one would really learn the need and beauty of Live and Let Live! It doesn’t matter what we think, what matters is  we all live as decent, loving human beings. We consider ourselves world citizens. Q: What’s Your Passion?
A: We both believe passionately in the unlimited power of the human mind and soul. We believe that being spiritual (Not the same as religious) is a reconnection to this  dormant and long forgotten power. We believe that we can only have come from a source more intelligent and more loving than ourselves and assuch the Divine would not have been so careless as not to equip us with all the necessary bells and whistles to benefit from this wonderful universe of ours with the least amount of resistance. As such you will see many posts by us on topics like Laws of Attraction, emotional techniques,meditations, hypnosis and brainwave entrainment.

Other Stuff

Q: Are you a geek?
A: No we are not but we suspect our boys are turning into ones. I am entertaining some thoughts on developing a technology for Mr Hamster and Mr. KuiKui to communicate with us through a device to be named Y Phone.

We are a perfect example of total non technical people being able to quickly get on the web and use it effectively. To date we own 5 sites, all set up within days without any technical knowledge at all. Send us an email if you would love to get on the web and start profiting from it immediately with nothing more than a shoestring budget.

Q: When I am sufficiently and passionately stirred by one of your posts positive or otherwise, should I leave a comment?

A: Yes! we love comments and we don’t mind people disagreeing with us in a positive way. But be warned, we love to surround ourselves with positive people and stuff even if we don’t agree with them but we absolutely want no association with negativity. We believe that your feedback and thoughts will help us build this little community. So don’t be shy, leave those comments!

Q: Is there a forum for the site?

Not for now but we have plans to add a forum to the site once there is enough users. So if you like this blog , do help us spread the word about it. The forum will be dedicated to building a community of individuals striving to reinvent themselves into powerful individuals and for successful ones to share their wisdom and encouragement with others. We know what it is like to go through difficult times and changes alone and strive to ensure that nobody is ever left alone through trying times.

It takes a fair bit of finances to built a robust forum so do browse our posts from time to time and support us by investing in some of the great programs or products that we recommend and review.
